Battery Ordinance
Information according to §18 of the Battery Act (BattG)
Make sure that you dispose of your old batteries/rechargeable batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer, as required by law.
Disposal via regular household waste is prohibited and violates the Battery Act. Disposal is free of charge. You are also welcome to return batteries/rechargeable batteries purchased from us free of charge after use. In any case, the return shipment of batteries/rechargeable batteries to us must be sufficiently prepaid.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are clearly marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can. Below the crossed-out trash can symbol is the chemical symbol of the hazardous substance. Examples include: (Pb) lead, (Cd) cadmium, (Hg) mercury.
